Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' to obtain Imax run
Imax finds the perfect marriage between family and fanboy in Tim Burton's three dimensional animated film "Frankenweenie," that will obtain the Imax treatment when Disney bows the film worldwide on March. 5. The mega-screen exhib, which lately moved forward from delivering family films, has focused its efforts almost solely on genre fare. "Frankenweenie" -- the stop-motion feature remake of Burton's 1984 live-action short -- is really a fanboy film, according to common Burton fanatics and also the original's cult-like recognition. But adults and children also needs to spark towards the three dimensional toon.
